Let's start at the beginning...
We (Rudi and Rhiannon) met back in 2016, working together on Rudi's family festival clothing stall. Saving up money to build van conversions, buy colourful outfits, and explore the world, the joy of fun times has never left. Dreamy.
The essence of Sonderlust was born, long before the name came to mind.
THE INSPIRATION
Getting Outside
Having enjoyed travelling to far-flung destinations in all kinds of conditions, we realised that no matter where in the world you are, getting outside and doing what you love are key for quality of life. It's not all about pushing limits, it's about taking in some air wherever you are, and enjoying the present moment, even just for 5 minutes.
After all, these are the good old days, we just need to remind ourselves to take it all in.
THE MANIFESTATION
The Clothing
After 10 years of sharing the great outdoors with each other and being touched by the souls of those we met (and still meet!) along the way, we felt the industry had forgotten the reason we go outside in the first place, to have fun!
Not to mention the lack of organic or recycled options on the market. Sonderlust is fast becoming a community that has the power to channel money and exposure back to important causes, while learning as we go to tread lightly. No preaching, just thinking beyond tomorrow, so the good old days can go on forever.
